APPROVAL OF THE FIELD TRIP FOR VENICE HIGH SCHOOL'S JROTC TO ATTEND THE GEORGIA NAVIGATOR CUP IN GAINESVILLE, GEORGIA ON JANUARY 15-19, 2016.
Description
The 2016 Georgia Navigator Cup is the culmination of JROTC Orienteering competitions. Last school year, Venice High School students earned 1st place in Florida orienteering, novice division. Orienteering combines physical speed, with mental agility, and math to navigate accurately in a race against other cadets. JROTC learned skills (such as compass reading) are applied during all orienteering meets.
Recommendation
That the field trip for Venice High School's JROTC to attend the Georgia Navigator Cup in Gainesville, Georgia on January 15-19, 2016 be approved as presented.
